What happens at this event?
Silly Sculpture introduces KS2 children to the exciting world of ceramics and three-dimensional making.Children will learn how to transform a simple pinch pot into their own imaginative sculpture — from funny fish and crazy creatures to characters, animals, and mythical beasts.Along the way, they’ll develop practical ceramics skills including:
- Hand-building & forming
- Scoring & slipping
- Joining and attaching pieces
- Creating texture and surface detail
- Developing form and structure
- Painting and decorating
